How the bill of supply generator works
Composition dealers and sellers of exempt goods cannot charge GST, so they issue a bill of supply instead of a tax invoice. Fill in the items and the tool lays it out without any tax columns.
- 01
The composition line
Turn on "I am a composition dealer" to print "Composition taxable person, not eligible to collect tax on supplies" at the top, the wording the GST rules ask for. Turn it off for exempt goods sold by a regular dealer.
- 02
Your GSTIN stays
A bill of supply still needs your GSTIN and the customer details, so those fields stay on the form even though no tax is charged.
- 03
Copies
Print the bill marked original, duplicate or triplicate, or all three in one PDF.
Frequently Asked Questions
Answers about this tool.
Who should use a bill of supply?
A dealer registered under the composition scheme, or a regular dealer selling only exempt or nil-rated goods or services. Anyone charging GST needs a tax invoice instead.
Can a composition dealer show tax on the bill?
No. A composition dealer pays tax on turnover and cannot collect it from customers, which is why the bill has no tax lines.
Is anything I type uploaded?
No. The form, the preview and the PDF are all made in your browser. Drafts are kept on your device only, so you can pick up where you left off, and you can delete them from the menu at any time.
