How the credit note generator works
A credit note lowers the amount of an invoice you already issued. It must name the original invoice, which the form asks for.

Start from the invoice
Open the invoice and choose "Make a credit note". The items are copied so you can keep only the ones being credited.

Is it just a negative invoice?
No. It is its own document with its own number, a reason and a reference to the invoice it adjusts.
Is anything I type uploaded?
No. The form, the preview and the PDF are all made in your browser. Drafts are kept on your device only, so you can pick up where you left off, and you can delete them from the menu at any time.
