How the export invoice generator works

Choose how you export, fill in the buyer abroad and the items in their currency, and the tool prints the right declaration, works out IGST if you pay it, and shows the total in rupees at your exchange rate.

  1. 01

    Choose how you export

Under a letter of undertaking it prints "Supply meant for export under bond or letter of undertaking without payment of integrated tax", with your LUT ARN. Exports on payment of IGST and supplies to SEZ units get their own wording.

  2. 02

Enter the buyer and items in their currency

Invoice in 41 currencies with the amount in words in that currency, and add the exchange rate to print the rupee value.

  3. 03

    Add the shipping details

Add your IEC, port code and shipping bill number and date. They print with the invoice details.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers about this tool.

What is the difference between export under LUT and with IGST?

Under a letter of undertaking you export without paying IGST. With IGST you pay the tax and can claim it back as a refund. The invoice prints the matching declaration either way.

Does it check my LUT or IEC?

No. It checks that the IEC has 10 characters and reminds you to add the LUT ARN, but it does not look anything up.

Is anything I type uploaded?

No. The form, the preview and the PDF are all made in your browser. Drafts are kept on your device only, so you can pick up where you left off, and you can delete them from the menu at any time.
